High-Level Order Picker Training
High-Level order pickers are maneuvered from in a cage attached to the fork carriage and pallets are used to manually handled items on and off the pallet. The forks can be raised or lowered to maintain a comfortable working height for loading items on the pallet. They can operate in very narrow aisles, using wire or rail-guides and can lift loads up to 15.85 meters high, moving quickly between the picking stations.
To teach the basic skill requirements and associated job safety knowledge to operators of High-Level Order Pickers, to delegates with less than 6 months or no previous operating experience these type of trucks. At the course end, successful delegates should be able to operate the machine both safely and efficiently.
Full certification is provided on successful completion of the course. Valid for 3 years.
Course Summary – 3 Hour Course
The High-Level Order Picker Truck, also known as HLOP, is used within warehousing operations, allowing operators to lift a pallet to heights of over 3 meters, where they can ‘Pick’ single or small numbers of items rather than complete pallets from racked pallets. Courses for this truck include Novice, Experienced Operator, Refresher and conversion. On completion of the course, you will be familiar with the basic skill requirements and job safety knowledge required for safe and effective operation of High-Level Order Pickers.

Participants will be required to undertake a written assessment and practical skills test.
