Basic First Aid Training Course

The Basic First Aid course is ideally suited for those who want or need to be able to deliver Basic First Aid. The emphasis of this course is on Dealing with emergency life-threatening situations in the absence of an Occupational First Aider and keeping a casualty alive until the emergency services arrive.

FAR (First Aid Response)

Joint PHECC/FITAC ‘First Aid Response’ certificate valid for 2 years. A 2-Day Refresher course is required at least every 2 years to recertify. Course includes practice of all skills, provision of clinical updates and other training need as identified by the instructor.

QQI Occupational First Aid (Level 5, 5N1207)

The aim of this 3-day course is to allow delegates to gain an understanding of the responsibilities of the occupational first aider and be able to provide treatment for the purpose of preserving life or minimising the consequences of injury until discharge or the arrival of medical assistance.

Scaffolding Training Course

A 7 day course to give candidates the knowledge to erect and dismantle a basic system scaffold safely in accordance with the statuary regulations and the manufacturer’s instructions for that type of scaffold

Health and Safety at Work / Heavy Duty Training for Persons Working in Docks

In early 2016, the HSA published a new code of practice guidelines for persons working in the docks and ports environment. This Code of Practice was written by the Health and Safety Authority in consultation with representatives from the Irish ports and docks sector.

Working in Confined Space Training

To provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of confined space rescue including the wearing of Escape Breathing Apparatus, Full Breathing Apparatus and Airline Breathing Apparatus.

Hazardous Chemicals Control

This course is designed to give drivers a thorough understanding of the legislation pertaining to hazardous substances in a workplace, concepts of chemicals and their hazardous properties and characteristics.

Fire Extinguisher Training

This training is usually delivered in conjunction with the Fire Warden Training, but can be delivered separately also.
It any business, it is important to know the locations and the types of extinguishers in your workplace prior to actually using one.

Fire Warden Training

Our fire warden training offering is a comprehensive course for up to 16 people. Designed to equip staff with the skills and knowledge they need to promote health and safety in the workplace and become authorised fire wardens.

Basic Fire Awareness

This short 2 hour course is a very useful and a must do for every business. We prefer to conduct this training in the client’s premises, and familiarise the staff with all elements of fire awareness within their building.

Industry Specific H&S Awareness for Managers and Supervisors

This training programme will provide a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety Management Systems to enable Managers and Supervisors to make a more effective contribution to safety standards in the organisation. Health and Safety for Managers and Supervisors covers all aspects of Health and Safety required in the workplace.

QQI Level 3 Health and Safety Awareness for all Staff

This programme will introduce learners to a broad range of Health and Safety topics that will enable them to incorporate best practice in to their work or home life. It allows learners to become more familiar and aware of Health and Safety issues and means of preventing accidents in the workplace. This programme is an excellent choice for learners who need to have a working knowledge of Health and Safety to carry out their duties at work. Employers will benefit from the knowledge that their staff have received basic Health and Safety training to assist them to carry out their duties in a safe environment. It is also useful to trainees or jobseekers who wish to up skill in order to prepare for future employment. The course is designed to be relevant and useful to learners across a wide range of vocational areas.

Risk Assessment and Management of the Workplace

This training package on risk assessment and management at the workplace seeks primarily to empower owners and managers of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to take action themselves to improve safety and health conditions in their workplaces.

Work-related injuries and ill health can ruin lives and affect businesses if output is lost, machinery damaged, insurance costs increase, etc. This is something that small businesses, particularly vulnerable to the impact of occupational accidents and work-related ill health, cannot afford – morally and economically. It is precisely to avoid this sort of situation that this training package has been devised.
