White Belt in Healthcare
Does this work for healthcare? Yes! In the spring of 2015, one of our Belts within the healthcare industry completed a project that reduced the amount of blood wasted due to expiration.
This resulted in Annual Savings of €250,000. That is €62,000 worth of savings over 3 months.
Lean training is now becoming a pre-requisite for many healthcare professional and organisations. Not only do participants learn excellent techniques for creating value, improving processes and implementing change, but they also develop abilities that are highly portable across healthcare organisations as well as internationally.
Introduction to Lean Six Sigma
Our White Belt programme is run over 2 days and provides participants with an overview of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Lean Six Sigma positioning roles and introduces you to variability.
All White Belt participants will have an introduction to the tools and methods used to:
- Acquire a basic understanding of Six Sigma and Lean
- Lean Healthcare Applications
- Obtain knowledge about the DMAIC process (Six Sigma structure) and their roles
- Specific DMAIC processes including: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control
- More efficient use of resources and waste reduction while augmenting satisfaction among patients
We advise that those wishing to undertake a Green Belt programme first undertake a White Belt programme as an introduction to Lean Six Sigma concepts and methodologies. Please note that White Belt programmes are limited to 10 participants at a time, on a first come, first serve basis.
